Rod has worked in the Management Consulting industry for 21 years in a variety of leadership, operational, management, technical, support, project management and consulting roles.

A Wealth Of Experience

Rod has project managed and consulted on Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery projects for NSW Department of Education & Training, Queensland Health, NSW Health, Telstra, Hewlett Packard, Fujitsu Australia, DCA Group, Thomson Legal and Regulatory, Omnilab Media Group, Ambience Entertainment, Amity Group, Australian College of Physical Education, Amnesty International, Nestle, Integral Energy, Coates Hire, Westlink M7, Hills M2 Motorway, Ninemsn, Franklins Foods and many NSW State Government departments and local councils.

Prior to forming OpsCentre, Rod spent several years as principal consultant for a niche financial-services consultancy, where his key responsibilities were the development, delivery and management of consulting services for many of Australia’s leading banking and financial institutions.  Previously, Rod was general manager for an international training and learning organisation, with full profit and loss accountability for the local Australian operations, reporting to the US head office.

In this role his responsibilities included defining and implementing the support infrastructure, identifying and employing development and support staff, managing support escalation and reporting and the management of ongoing client relationships. In addition, Rod managed the company’s sales staff, service level agreements, contractual agreements and support and project management schedules and budgets.

Rod has undertaken extensive overseas consulting assignments in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, New Zealand, USA and Europe.

He holds a Higher National Diploma in Computer Studies from Brighton University in the UK. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Project Management, the Australian Institute of Management, the Institute of Company Directors and the IT Service Management Foundation.
